The Wedding of Dotun and Maj

Dotun and Maj’s wedding was a day I will remember forever. It was one of the most spectacular weddings I have ever photographed with so many personal and romantic touches!

They were wed at the beautiful venue of St Audries Park, a stunning manor house in Somerset, set in 100 acres of scenic deer park. As you arrive at the manor house you make your way through a winding driveway through serene parkland. Once you step inside the manor house you are blown away by the Gothic entrance – it is truly breathtaking.

Maj was the most sensational bride whose elegance and grace shone all day long. She opted for a Bardot-Style wedding dress and really was a vision of beauty. She glowed as she made her way down the grand staircase to the aisle accompanied by her lovely father. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as we were all overwhelmed by how stunning she looked, and by Dotun’s reaction when he laid eyes on his beautiful bride. These moments are so special and some of my favourites to capture due to the incredible amount of love as the bride and groom meet for the first time at the altar.

The ceremony was held in the most spectacular Gothic-style room, with an abundance of natural light shining through and grand pillars lining the aisle. With a soft cream and beige colour scheme, they had lanterns laid all the way up the aisle with rose petals surrounding them. Dotun and Maj asked the pastor from their local church to conduct their wedding, which was such a beautiful touch. It made the ceremony so personal as the pastor knew the couple very well and was so honoured to be celebrating their love for one another.

After the wedding ceremony, the newlyweds made their way through the entrance doors of the reception room into the beautiful grounds of St Audries Park. Confetti was thrown as all of their loved ones celebrated their marriage. Dotun and Maj then enjoyed some alone time as we started on the couples portraits of the day. My job was made easy by this stunning couple and the incredible features of their chosen venue. They were a dream and I smiled nonstop as I captured their beautiful love.

Their wedding day was spent surrounded by 100+ guests and it was one big celebration from start to finish. It has got to be one of the prettiest weddings I have had the honour of photographing and certainly one I will remember forever.
