Surrey’s Most Spectacular Wedding Venues

November 25, 2022

Being a Wedding Photographer I am so lucky that I get given the opportunity to visit countless incredible wedding venues each year. I am based in Surrey but travel to all sorts of surrounding areas to capture so many of your wonderful love stories!

Your wedding day is one of the most important and special days of your life so finding the right venue is key. Your chosen wedding venue plays a huge part in the overall mood of your wedding. It needs to create an atmosphere that fits with your style and represents your personality just like your wedding photography!

I am excited to say I am getting married in 2023 and the search for the perfect wedding venue is one of the parts me and my fiancé enjoyed the most. For any other bride-to-be that is looking for wedding venues in Surrey, I thought I would share some of my favourites.

Having visited so many as a Wedding Photographer I have narrowed it down to my Top 3!

Great Fosters Hotel

Stroude Rd, Egham TW20 9UR

Great Fosters is truly out of this world and comes highly recommended by me. The incredible Estate boasts 50 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and parkland and is the perfect wedding venue for any season. I had the pleasure of shooting here once for one of my lovely couples Natalie and Ben.

It truly is the most dreamy setting for a wedding day with so many incredible parts to this venue. There is such a great selection of areas to hold your ceremony and reception from their characterful Tithe Barn and The Orangery, the most beautiful and light space. This Tudor Estate is so historic that you could get lost for hours exploring all the different features of this venue.

The hotel rooms are stunning and the perfect place to relax once the partying is over. There is also a spa and outside pool which in my opinion would be the ideal way to spend your first morning as a married couple.

When I shot here for Ben and Natalie’s wedding we got the most incredible shots as we explored their stunning grounds. They have a lake with a beautiful bridge, one of the venue’s most magical features and the most amazing spot for couple portraits. In fact, pretty much any area of this estate is the perfect photo opportunity.

If you haven’t considered Great Fosters Hotel as a potential wedding venue then I definitely recommend you check it out. I can ensure you that you will be blown away by all of its beauty and breathtaking details.

Wotton House

Guildford Rd, Wotton, Dorking RH5 6HS

I don’t even know where to begin explaining the beauty of Wotton House. The Estate dates back to the 16th Century and was sold to the Evelyn family by Henry Owen. Richard Evelyn was passionate about botanicals so constructed an Italian Garden and temple. This is just a small amount of history that this place holds and is truly breathtaking.

To be married amidst their magical Grade II listed Italian Gardens surrounded by their whimsical 17th-century detailing is truly a dream. I shot here for the wedding of Alistar and Stacey and this was a day that will always stand out to me due to this amazing venue.

The Old Library consists of grand vaulted ceilings, pillars and centuries-old original fireplaces which is so romantic. They also provide the option to marry outside in their Italian Gardens which are also the perfect location for those gorgeous wedding portraits. Their light and airy Evelyn Suite is the perfect reception room – it is modern yet still holds so many historic features.

I could talk about Wotton House for hours because it is truly spectacular but instead of me boring you with the details I suggest you go and check this one out for yourselves. It really is not one to be missed and the perfect Surrey wedding venue.

Botleys Mansion

Stonehill Rd, Lyne, Chertsey KT16 0AP

Botleys Mansion is set amid 56 acres of rolling Surrey Parkland and radiates charm from the moment you enter. There is a stunning view of the Surrey Hills as making your way up their sweeping driveway. I second shot the wedding of Charlotte and Mark here and this was one of the first things that made me fall in love with Botleys Mansion.

The house is filled with breathtaking details such as gold leaf adorning the walls, doorways, and ceilings, their incredible crystal chandeliers, and a modern glass atrium which makes for the most stunning reception room.

They have the most picturesque entrance with a grand staircase that leads you to the front door and is ideal for capturing photos of the bride and groom and their guests. This venue is out of this world and the ideal place if you are looking for a cosy country wedding in Surrey.

It truly feels like your escape from the chaos of life when you visit here and I’m praying I will have the opportunity to shoot a wedding here again in the future. Botleys Mansion should definitely be at the top of your list when on your wedding venue search – it is so beautiful.
